The Board of Trustees meets quarterly to review proposals and award grants. Applicants receive notification of the decision within two weeks of the board meeting. The first step in submitting a proposal is to call the Foundation at (858) 551-0881 to determine if your project fits in our guidelines. At that point, you may be asked to submit a 1-2 page letter of inquiry. If there is a match, our staff will encourage you to submit a full proposal and give you the current deadline for submittals. Your proposal should be brief--under ten pages, if possible. The Foundation staff will let you know if more information is needed. Your proposal should include the following:
